NASCAR Truck Series: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Homestead Baptist Health 200 (10/21/23)

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is heading to Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday, marking the penultimate race of the 2023 season. This race is crucial as it will determine the four drivers who will compete for the championship next month. Currently, Corey Heim has secured a spot, and Carson Hocevar has a comfortable 23-point lead over the cut line. However, the remaining two spots are up for grabs with Christian Eckes and Nick Sanchez currently holding them. Grant Enfinger and Ben Rhodes are just three and five points behind, respectively. Ty Majeski and Zane Smith face tougher odds but could secure a spot in the Championship 4 with a win.

At RotoBaller, we’re dedicated to helping you make informed decisions for your DFS lineups. To assist you, I will break down the slates for the Craftsman Truck Series. Ty Majeski – $11,000 Starting Fourth
After finishing 19th and 21st in the first two races of this round, Ty Majeski finds himself in a near must-win situation. Fortunately, Majeski has excelled at Homestead, where he previously won the Truck Series race. Last season, he led 67 of the 134 laps and secured his spot in the Championship 4. Interestingly, he currently sits seventh in points, mirroring his position from last year. Could there be some destiny at play for Majeski?

Ben Rhodes – $9,600 Starting 21st
Majeski’s teammate, Ben Rhodes, also had a strong performance at Homestead last year. He led the second-most laps in the race and finished in sixth place. Rhodes has consistently performed well at this track, never finishing outside the top 20. Despite starting 21st this weekend, he presents a great opportunity for place differential points. Rhodes needs a strong run to secure his spot in the Championship 4, and with his recent form, a top-five finish is certainly within reach.

Trevor Bayne – $8,500 Starting 32nd
Trevor Bayne will be making his first Truck Series start since 2020, stepping into the Rackley WAR No. 25 truck. This truck has shown great potential, with three consecutive top 10 finishes under its belt. Bayne brings plenty of Homestead experience, having raced in the Cup Series at this track seven times. Although he struggled with the Wood Brothers, he achieved top 20 finishes for Roush Racing. Starting 32nd on Saturday, Bayne presents an excellent place differential option.

Bayley Currey – $7,700 Starting 17th
Bayley Currey has had some impressive performances this year in the No. 41 Niece Motorsports truck. He secured a fifth-place finish at Nashville and a tenth-place finish at the Milwaukee Mile. Despite crashing out in the previous race at Talladega, Currey has displayed consistent results in this truck. Additionally, he had a solid run at Homestead in the Xfinity Series last year, finishing 13th after gaining 10 positions. Currey offers great value as a place differential option.

Marco Andretti – $7,500 Starting 27th
Marco Andretti will be making his second Truck Series start on Saturday, sparking rumors that he may run full-time in the series for Spire next year. Although his first start resulted in a 19th-place finish, he qualified seventh at Mid-Ohio, demonstrating his potential. With a race of Truck Series experience under his belt, Andretti is expected to perform better this weekend. Additionally, starting 27th allows him to gain significant place differential points in the fast Spire truck.

Jonathan Shafer – $5,200 Starting 33rd
Jonathan Shafer may not have made much of an impact in his first two Truck Series starts, but he has managed to finish ahead of his starting position both times. At Martinsville, he moved from 33rd to 29th, and at Nashville, he advanced from 27th to 24th. If Shafer can avoid trouble, he presents a cheap source of place differential points. With a salary of $5,200, Shafer is a fantastic value option.
