- Las Vegas guard Kelsey Plum told Brady “it’s about effing time” he came to watch the reigning champs.
Kelsey Plum, the superstar Las Vegas Aces guard, didn’t hold back when she saw Tom Brady sitting courtside at Michelob ULTRA Arena for Game 1 of the WNBA Finals. She playfully taunted the legendary quarterback and member of her team’s ownership group, saying, “It’s about effing time you showed up,” with a smirk after the game.
Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champion, took the jab in stride. Plum imitated him while recounting the interaction, causing laughter in the room. This isn’t the first time Brady and Plum have had a humorous public interaction. Last summer, Plum barked at Brady during one of her games, and he responded by sending her a care package with a signed jersey.
After the game, Plum expressed her excitement for Brady’s investment in the franchise and acknowledged the significance of his involvement for the growth of the team and the league. She also mentioned that Brady understands the commitment required in women’s sports as he has daughters and nieces who play. Plum scored 26 points as the Aces secured a victory in Game 1 of the 2023 WNBA Finals. The Aces will host Game 2 and have the opportunity to clinch their second consecutive title in New York.
