Son Heung-min named EA SPORTS Player of the Month for September 2023

Tottenham Hotspur captain, Son, has emerged as the standout player in September, scoring a total of six goals in four matches. Spurs’ victories over Burnley, Sheffield United, and Liverpool, along with a draw against Arsenal, contributed to their unbeaten start to the season.

Son’s impressive performances included a hat-trick at Turf Moor, a brace in the north London derby, and the opening goal against Liverpool, ending their winless streak since 2017.

This achievement also places Son among footballing greats, as he now shares the distinction of winning the award four times in his career, alongside Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Frank Lampard, Paul Scholes, Mohamed Salah, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, and Jamie Vardy.

There have only been six players in Premier League history who have won the award more times than Son.
