AC Milan places trust in Luka Jovic, Serbian forward, granting him his debut start against Genoa.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), head coach Stefano Pioli is set to rest Olivier Giroud and offer Jovic his first opportunity as a starter, after several substitute appearances.
While Noah Okafor was initially expected to start as the striker, it appears that Rafael Leao will also be on the bench, allowing Okafor to play on the left wing. The duo will be joined by Samuel Chukwueze, who was chosen over Christian Pulisic for the right wing.
Yacine Adli is expected to retain his position in the midfield from the previous Serie A game, with Yunus Musah and Tijjani Reijnders on either side of him.
Davide Calabria is anticipated to be replaced by Alessandro Florenzi as he moves to the bench, while Mike Maignan returns in goal in place of Marco Sportiello.
Possible AC Milan lineup (4-3-3): Maignan; Florenzi, Thiaw, Tomori, Hernandez; Musah, Adli, Reijnders; Chukwueze, Jovic, Okafor.
Possible Genoa lineup (3-5-2): Martinez; Dragusin, Bani, Vasquez; De Winter, Thorsby, Frendrup, Malinovskyi, Matturro; Messias, Gudmundsson.
