The 16th-ranked Ole Miss Rebels are set to face off against the Arkansas Razorbacks at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday night.
NOTES:
Following a remarkable victory over the LSU Tigers in Oxford last weekend, the Rebels are riding high.
Despite having high preseason expectations, Arkansas has struggled this year, currently holding a 2-3 record (0-2 in SEC play).
The last time the Razorbacks visited Oxford, Ole Miss narrowly secured a 52-51 win. However, Arkansas had the upper hand in last year’s game, winning 42-27.
THOUGHTS:
“Anticipate a high-scoring affair in this matchup. Perhaps not as much as the game against the Tigers last week, but both defenses are susceptible to conceding big plays and points. The Rebels will rely on another strong performance from Dart while maintaining Judkins’ momentum in the running game.” – Patrick Talbot
“Arkansas allowed over 200 rushing yards to Texas A&M in their previous game. It will be crucial for the Rebels to involve Quinshon Judkins early and often in order to establish the tempo of the game. After experiencing defeat at the hands of the Razorbacks last season, the Rebels aren’t likely to let it happen again. The performance of Arkansas’ quarterback, KJ Jefferson, will be the deciding factor. Jefferson’s late third-quarter interception return for a touchdown against Texas A&M created an insurmountable deficit for his team. If Jefferson can find his rhythm and effectively contribute as a runner, he has the potential to trouble any defense.” – Eve Hernandez
