Crushers GC emerged victorious in the 2023 LIV Golf Team Championship at Trump National Doral’s Blue Monster. Led by Captain Bryson DeChambeau, the team finished at 11 under, claiming the top prize of $14 million. Runner-up was Bubba Watson’s RangeGoats GC, followed by Joaquin Niemann’s Torque GC in third and last year’s champions, Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces GC, in fourth.
In the final round, all four scores were counted, unlike the regular-season events where the lowest score is dropped each day. The winners of the semifinals competed for the top four places (Tier 1), while the losing teams from Saturday battled for places 5-8 (Tier 2), and Friday’s losers went for places 9-12 (Tier 3).
During LIV events, the team prize money is distributed back to the teams. In the Team Championship, the teams keep 60 percent, and each player takes home 10 percent. Not too shabby for three days of work.
Here’s the breakdown of how much money each team earned in Miami:
Crushers GC: $14 million
RangeGoats GC: $8 million
Torque GC: $6 million
4Aces GC: $4 million
Stinger GC: $3.25 million
